Evidence suggests that children who read for enjoyment every day not only perform better in reading tests, but also develop a broader vocabulary, increased general knowledge and a better understanding of the world around them.

Reading is a skill that is called upon in so many subjects and at so many times throughout the school day.

This is why we encourage children to read at home at least five times a week and to record all home reading in their reading logs. We ask that an adult initials each entry in the reading log.

Details regarding further homework tasks to follow.

Maths homework will be a mixture of Mathletics and Prodigy. Should your child be unable to access the  internet at home, we can provide time for this to happen at school.
English homework to be completed in green homework books will be sent home Wednesday to be completed by the following Monday.
